Images and Your Blog URL
In helping a client to upgrade to WordPress 2.7, I found that she was having problems with inserting images in 2.6x as well. The upgrade didn’t solve the problem. The image upload would happen, with the file being placed in the appropriate place in wp-content/uploads…
However, the image wouldn’t insert into the post. After a great deal of research, I found that the WordPress URL in Settings > General, was not all lower-case. PHP doesn’t appear to like this, so going into the General Settings and making sure that the block for “WordPress address URL” has only lower-case in it may solve your image problem. It did for this client.
